Agreement to Terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Golf Rules AI, Inc. ("Company," "we," "us," or "our") governing your access to and use of the GolfRules AI mobile application and website (collectively, the "Service").

By accessing or using our Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not access or use the Service.

Company Information

Description of Service

GolfRules AI is an educational platform designed to help users learn and understand the Rules of Golf. The Service includes:

• AI Rule Checker: An AI-powered tool that answers questions about golf rules
• Learning Modules: Structured courses covering golf rules from beginner to expert level
• Quizzes and Situations: Interactive exercises to test and reinforce your knowledge
• Progress Tracking: XP, streaks, badges, and leaderboards

Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old (or 16 years old in the European Economic Area) to use the Service. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.

Account Registration

To access certain features of the Service, you may need to create an account. When creating an account, you agree to:

• Provide accurate, current, and complete information
• Maintain the security of your password and account
• Accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if any information provided is inaccurate, incomplete, or violates these Terms.

Subscription and Payments

Free and Premium Tiers

The Service offers both free and premium ("Pro") subscription tiers. Free users have access to limited features, including a restricted number of AI rule checks. Pro subscribers have access to all features, including unlimited AI checks and all learning modules.

Payment Terms

• Pro subscriptions are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis
• Payments are processed through Apple In-App Purchase (iOS), Google Play (Android), or Stripe (web)
• Prices are displayed in USD and may vary by region
• Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled before the renewal date

Fair Use Policy

Pro subscriptions include unlimited AI rule checks for personal, non-commercial educational use. "Unlimited" means no fixed daily or monthly quota under normal usage patterns. However, we reserve the right to throttle or suspend access in cases of automated, abusive, or commercially exploitative usage that exceeds reasonable personal use. We may update fair-use thresholds at our discretion to ensure service quality for all users. Such limits, if applied, will not affect typical educational use of the Service.

Cancellation and Refunds

You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings. For iOS subscriptions, cancellation is managed through your iPhone/iPad Settings under Subscriptions. Upon cancellation, you will retain access to Pro features until the end of your current billing period. We do not provide refunds for partial subscription periods, except as required by applicable law.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to:

• Violate any applicable laws or regulations
• Infringe upon the rights of others
• Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent information
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or its systems
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers
• Use automated means (bots, scrapers) to access the Service without permission
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service
• Use the Service for any commercial purpose without our written consent
• Circumvent usage limits or restrictions

AI-Generated Content Disclaimer

Important: The AI rule checker is an educational tool only and does not constitute official rulings under the Rules of Golf. AI responses do not represent professional advice, legal opinions, or authoritative interpretations. While we strive for accuracy:

• AI responses may contain errors or inaccuracies
• The Service does not replace official Rules of Golf publications from R&A/USGA
• In competitive play, always consult the official rulebook or a rules official
• We do not guarantee that AI responses are complete, current, or applicable to your specific situation

The Company is not liable for any decisions, penalties, or outcomes made based on AI-generated content, including but not limited to tournament rulings, scoring disputes, or competitive play decisions. For official rulings in tournaments or competitions, please refer to the official Rules of Golf and consult with certified rules officials.

User Responsibility

You are responsible for the content of questions you submit to the AI rule checker. You should avoid including personal or sensitive information (such as names, locations, or other personally identifiable information) in your questions. While we implement technical measures to minimize personal data processing, user-generated content submitted to the AI is processed by third-party AI providers and may be beyond our control once submitted.

Intellectual Property

Our Content

The Service, including its design, text, graphics, logos, icons, images, audio, video, software, and other content, is owned by or licensed to Golf Rules AI, Inc. and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the Service without our prior written consent.

User Content

By submitting questions or content to the Service, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, process, and analyze such content for the purpose of providing and improving the Service. You retain ownership of your original content.

Rules of Golf

The official Rules of Golf are published by The R&A and the United States Golf Association (USGA). Our educational content is based on these rules but is not affiliated with or endorsed by these organizations.

Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or free of viruses or other harmful components. We do not warrant the accuracy, completeness, or usefulness of any information provided through the Service.

Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, GOLF RULES AI, INC. AND ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

IN NO EVENT SHALL OUR TOTAL LIABILITY EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO US, IF ANY, FOR ACCESS TO THE SERVICE DURING THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages, so some of the above limitations may not apply to you.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Golf Rules AI, Inc. and its officers, directors, employees, agents, and affiliates from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or relating to your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of another.

Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause, with or without notice. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease. You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us at hello@golfrules-ai.com.

Provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination shall survive, including but not limited to intellectual property provisions, disclaimers, limitations of liability, and indemnification.

Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the new Terms on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after such changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.

Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions, and without prejudice to mandatory consumer protection laws of your country of residence. Nothing in this section limits your mandatory consumer protection rights under applicable local law, including the GDPR for EEA residents.

Any disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association, except that either party may seek injunctive or other equitable relief in any court of competent jurisdiction.

Severability

If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable, such provision shall be struck and the remaining provisions shall be enforced to the fullest extent under law.

Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Golf Rules AI, Inc. regarding the Service and supersede all prior agreements and understandings.
